Transportation Sales Representative

Sumner Solutions is growing and seeking motivated Transportation Sales Representatives to help build new business in automotive transportation.

We are looking for an energetic, dependable sales professional with transportation industry experience who enjoys prospecting, developing customer relationships, and growing new accounts.

TRANSPORTATION EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.

An existing book of business is not required.

Candidates must work in person at our Lebanon, Tennessee office.

Compensation

• $5,000 per month salary plus commission
• Opportunity to increase your earnings as you develop new accounts and grow your book of business.

What You Will Do

• Make daily outbound calls to dealerships, dealer groups, auctions, wholesalers, rental companies, and other automotive businesses.
• Identify prospective customers and introduce Sumner Solutions' vehicle transportation services.
• Generate leads, follow up consistently, and build a sales pipeline.
• Develop new accounts and grow long-term customer relationships.
• Provide customers with competitive vehicle transportation quotes.
• Negotiate transportation rates based on lanes, market conditions, and customer needs.
• Keep customer information, sales activity, and follow-up tasks organized in Salesforce.
• Work closely with dispatch and operations to coordinate customer transportation needs.
• Communicate shipment updates and help resolve customer questions.
• Meet established sales activity and business development goals.

Requirements

• Previous transportation industry experience is required.
• Must be able to work in person at our Lebanon, TN office.
• Automotive transportation or transportation brokerage experience preferred.
• Comfortable making multiple outbound prospecting and cold calls.
• Strong sales, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Professional phone presence and excellent customer service.
• Self-motivated, dependable, and driven to acquire new customers.
• Willing to follow up consistently and handle rejection professionally.
• Organized and able to manage multiple prospects and customer requests.
• Comfortable using computers, CRM systems, and transportation management software.
• Able to work independently while communicating with the team.
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and accountability.

Salesforce, Super Dispatch, and Google Workspace experience is a plus.
