Sumner Mental Health Center, a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) and Community Mental Health Center (CMHC) , located in Wellington, Kansas, has an opening for an individual to work in Childrens Based Services as a Parent Peer Support Specialist, who will provide one-on-one and group services to a parent or guardian. This position uses modeling to assist with stabilization of a child and family. This position requires a high school diploma or GED and lived experience raising a child with severe emotional disturbance (SED), substance use disorder, or co-occurring mental health diagnosis, along with an understanding of professional boundaries, ability to build and maintain positive, collaborative working relations, reliability, basic computer skills, ability to learn documentation in an electronic medical record.
Background checks required, along with current Kansas drivers license and motor vehicle insurance for use of fleet vehicles.
