We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, suspension systems, and electrical components using schematics and automotive diagnostic tools.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment such as motorhomes, pickups, some farm machinery, and tractor-trailers to ensure they operate efficiently and safely.
- Fabricate parts or modify existing components using welding, soldering, power tools, and hand tools to meet specific operational needs.
- Replace or repair shocks & struts, brakes, HVAC systems, and other critical vehicle parts to maintain optimal performance.
- Use heavy lifting techniques safely while handling large components; perform alignment checks and adjustments for proper vehicle operation.
- Maintain detailed service records of all repairs performed; interpret schematics for troubleshooting complex mechanical issues.
- Assist with equipment assembly and disassembly during repairs or upgrades; support preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
Requirements
- Experience as a Diesel Mechanic with dealership or heavy equipment operation background preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge across automotive repair, industrial equipment maintenance, and farm machinery servicing.
- Ability to read schematics and electrical diagrams; experience with automotive diagnostics.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely; physically capable of working in demanding environments.
- Knowledge of hydraulics, air brake systems, transmissions, shocks & struts, and HVAC systems, is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with customer service experience to communicate effectively with team members and clients.
