Job Summary:
Summitt Logistics & Brokerage is looking for our next great teammate to drive customer satisfaction and revenue growth through strategic relationships as a Logistics Coordinator in our Power Only Logistics department.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Responsible for daily communication with Customers and Carriers according to our policies, values and mission statement.
· Responsible for daily brokering of power-only freight in cooperation with other Logistics Coordinators and Logistics Dispatchers.
· Responsible for pricing, bidding and communicating with customers in effort to add profitable revenue streams.
· Responsible for creating carrier relationships and onboarding as well as maintaining existing carrier relationships.
· Must work with Summitt Trucking staff in cooperation with Driver Managers, Load Planners, Customer Service Reps, Equipment Coordinators, Maintenance Staff, and Drivers in order to assist in the movement of freight according to our values and mission statement.
· Responsible for tracking Carriers compliance with our policies and procedures, and will be responsible for monitoring, communicating, and enforcing penalties, suspensions and terminations of Carriers.
· Responsible for assisting with the collection of documents related to the billing of freight, carrier payment, and any other documentation required.
Qualifications:
· High School diploma or GED required; Associates degree in related field preferred; or minimum of 2 year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills

- Ability to communicate effectively using an office phone
- Able to lift 20 pounds multiple times daily
