Clinic Operations Manager

Role Overview:
Responsible for the smooth operation of all day-to-day activities carried out in their assigned clinic and programs. The Clinic Operations Manager ensures that clinic and program services operate effectively and efficiently, optimizes clinical and medical schedules, tracks daily clinic productivity and supports the operations staff to streamline workflows to maximize clinic capacity. This position is responsible for coordinating and managing the client’s access to care, which could include processes for scheduling, verifying insurance or other coverage, client registration accuracy for proper billing. This position will demonstrate commitment to and provide leadership for Summitstone Health Partner’s values by delivering visionary and operational leadership while fostering trust, collaboration, and a diverse and inclusive environment.
Essential Duties:
- Establishes standards that ensure resources are utilized at an optimal level, directs and develops operations staff, and collaborates with multidisciplinary professional staff within SummitStone and the community.
- Leads operational staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training staff. Operational staff include but are not limited to Operations Support Specialist and Medical Assistants.
- Maintains appropriate staffing levels by coaching, counseling, and providing corrective action to employees: planning, monitoring, and appraising job results through performance evaluations.
- Responsible for on- and off-site leadership, which may include providing crisis intervention, attending to needs of staff within the building, problem solving between team members, and helping clients who need assistance.
- Work in collaboration with all SummitStone departments, including but not limited to revenue cycle, clinical, nursing, and medical, safety support, facilities and maintenance, and act as a bridge between programs and departments to ensure SummitStone achieves client and financial goals.
- Utilizes knowledge of the front end of the client experience, notably revenue cycle process, to ensure appropriate demographic and coverage information is collected for clients at the time of registration.
- Ensure staff are adequately trained for client registration, working with SummitStone training department to define and evaluate training competencies.
- Design and execute tactics in accordance with Summitstone’s interpretation of changing healthcare regulations that impact client care.
- Serves on committees and workgroups in support of the organization.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- More than four years of experience in a related position in healthcare or behavioral healthcare operations required.
- More than two years of experience providing direct supervision to staff or overseeing a team required.
- Experience in program development and project management preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may be evaluated and considered.
Highly Desired:
Valid Colorado driver’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire and a clean driving record required- CPR and First Aid certifications required for specific locations
