What You'll Do:
We are hiring for a Therapist for our Competency and STS Teams.
The SummitStone Competency Team includes case management, medication management, therapy, psychiatric services, and peer services.
The purpose of the Outpatient Restoration Program is to provide competency restoration education services to individuals involved in the criminal justice system and deemed by a court to be incompetent to proceed.
Position summary: Competency is a legal construct that refers to an individual's current capacity to function meaningfully and knowingly in a legal proceeding.
If individuals are found to be incompetent to proceed, they are referred to competency restoration treatment.
Restoration treatment can happen in three settings: inpatient at a psychiatric hospital, in a jail-based restoration program or outpatient in the community.
Outpatient restoration makes it possible for individuals to stay in their communities, maintain housing, remain connected to their natural support system and continue their employment while going through treatment.
The SummitStone Competency Team partners with many key partners including Chief Judge Blanco, Public Defender's Office, District Attorney's Office, Criminal Justice Alternatives, Bridges of Colorado, and the Office of Civil and Forensic Mental Health.
Specialized Treatment Services (STS)
works with clients who typically have co-occurring diagnoses and are often involved in the criminal justice system.
Additionally, The STS Team works closed with SummitStone's Competency Team in order to support clients going through the competency process.
We are looking for individuals who enjoy working within a team, are versed in Evidence Based Treatment practices, and those seeking to grow their clinical skills in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide action-oriented brief therapy to clients starting services
- Provide Evidence-Based treatment for a range of mental health and substance use disorders
- Provide on-going assessments, crisis intervention and case management to clients and their families
- Develop and monitor service plans, treatment progress, and maintains clinical documentation and other reporting data
- Coordinate services in a treatment team model with internal as well as external services
- Have a strong understanding of how to adapt service delivery to meet the client's needs
Requirements:
- Master's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university
- 1 year of experience providing individual and group therapy
- Proficiency in using computers and telehealth systems
- Certified Addiction Specialist (CAS), Licensed Addictions Counselor (LAC), or willingness to pursue a CAS or an LAC
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Licensure (LPC, LCSW, or LMFT)
- CAS or LAC experience with Trauma-Informed Care
- telehealth experience
- Bilingual/Bicultural
