What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full Time Custodian position at Summit Valley Services?
Summit Valley Services is looking to hire one janitorial floater to assist in daily coverage. Our ideal candidate is attentive, motivated, and reliable. The position will be for 7 hours per night Monday-Friday with rotating potential for weekends. We meet daily at our office in Amherst and head out from there in a company provided vehicle.
The primary responsibility of a floater is to provide support and assistance wherever they are needed. This can include tasks such as covering shifts for absent employees, accounts that need staffed, and providing support in different departments with workload spikes. Floaters should be outgoing and possess strong communication and problem-solving skills. They must be able to quickly learn new processes and procedures, as well as work well in a team environment
Clean driving record is required to use our company vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Cleaning and disinfecting of all desks and table tops
- Spot cleaning of all walls
- Cleaning and disinfecting of all horizontal surfaces
- Emptying of all trash receptacles
- Cleaning and disinfecting of restrooms including but not limited to sinks, mirrors, toilets, and floors
- Replenishment of consumable products such as toilet paper, paper towels, soaps, and tissues
- Vacuuming of all soft and hard surface flooring
- Mopping of all hard surface flooring
