Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
Summit Therapeutics provides quality, one-on-one, behavioral therapy for children with Autism. Plans of Care for each child are individualized--we believe in a natural and playful approach to ABA therapy, which has helped our clients achieve remarkable progress in learning social and life skills. The majority of morning sessions are with early learners while afternoon sessions are primarily social skills groups.
RBTs at this clinic always have in-person clinical support from a BCBA and RBT Coordinators. The is a highly collaborative learning environment and is ideal for both new RBTs and those looking to pursue higher education in the field of ABA.
Location: We are seeking RBTs in the Blairsville area. RBTs in this area work in our 7000 sqft Blairsville clinic.
Schedule: Ideal candidate has already completed a 40 hour Registered Behavior Tech course. We are currently open to hiring part-time or full-time staff. Scheduling can be flexible within our block schedule. Clinic hours are 8:30am-5:00pm. New Hires must be available to work one of these schedules:
M-F 8:30am-2:00pm and/or 3:00pm-5:00pm
M/W/F 8:30am-2:00pm and/or 3:00pm-5:00pm
Tu/Th 8:30am-2:00pm and/or 3:00pm-5:00pm
Compensation: $22/hr to start with potential for advancement after 6 week probationary period to $23-$25/hr.
Applicants must have:
- RBT certification or have at least already completed a 40 Hour RBT course
- reliable, personal transportation
- experience working, teaching, or living with children with special needs
- a high school diploma or GED
- patience and the ability to “play”
- ability to work independently
- ability to receive and implement feedback from their BCBA
- a willingness to learn
- ability to be consistent with attendance and attitude as this is paramount to our clients’ success
- CPR certification (can be completed after hire)
- National background check (completed after hire)
Applicants must have completed a 40 hour RBT course before a job offer will be extended. The Autism Partnership Foundation offers a free course on their website.
Upon being hired and passing a national background check, Summit will provide new hires with a competency assessment, training with clients, and assistance with registering to test.
New hires are responsible for all fees associated with obtaining and maintaining their own RBT certification.
