Storage Engineer
6 Month Contract
100% Onsite (5 Days/Week) | Boise, ID or Brookfield, CT

We are seeking a Storage Engineer with expertise in enterprise storage, backup, and data protection technologies to support a global infrastructure environment. This role is responsible for managing storage platforms, backup and recovery operations, disaster recovery planning, and capacity optimization across on-premises and hybrid cloud environments.
Responsibilities
- Manage and support NetApp, Dell EMC, and QNAP storage platforms.
- Administer SAN/NAS environments, capacity planning, performance tuning, and storage optimization.
- Support Veeam Backup & Replication, including monitoring, troubleshooting, restores, and recovery testing.
- Develop and maintain data retention, backup, and recovery strategies.
- Support Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Planning (BCP), including replication, failover, RPO, and RTO objectives.
- Create technical documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures.
- Provide recommendations for infrastructure improvements, scalability, resiliency, and cost optimization.
Required Qualifications
- 7 years of enterprise storage and backup administration experience.
- Hands-on experience with NetApp, Dell EMC, QNAP, and Veeam.
- Strong knowledge of SAN/NAS architectures, backup and recovery, and data protection.
- Experience supporting hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- NetApp, Dell EMC, or Veeam certifications.
- Experience supporting global or multi-site environments.
- Exposure to AWS and/or Azure.
- Background in regulated or manufacturing environments.
