We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while efficiently handling transactions. As a Cashier, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers, maintaining accurate cash handling, and supporting the overall operations of the store.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases.
- Operate the cash register and handle cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately.
- Process sales efficiently while ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, sales, and store policies to assist customers effectively.
- Perform basic math calculations to ensure accurate change is provided.
- Stock shelves and maintain merchandise displays to enhance the shopping experience.
- Assist in supervising junior staff members when necessary.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or as a cashier is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems is advantageous.
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply as it enhances communication with diverse customers.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to engage customers positively.
- Experience in supervising or training staff is a plus.
