Pay: $30–$35 per hour, based on experience
When the production floor comes alive on first shift, you’re the go-to expert ensuring power is clean, controls are tight, and machines are ready to run. As a Manufacturing Controls Electrician embedded at a high-volume manufacturing facility in York, PA, you’ll install, maintain, and upgrade electrical systems that keep output steady and downtime minimal.
What your day looks like- Walk down new equipment drops and verify voltage, phase rotation, and load capacity before energizing.
- Install and modify plant power distribution: switchgear, transformers, disconnects, MCCs, and panels.
- Run feeders and branch circuits to support new and relocated production assets.
- Set and commission motors, VFDs, control panels, and enclosures; terminate power and control wiring.
- Integrate PLC-driven systems; land sensors, limit switches, photo eyes, and field devices; confirm communications and signal integrity.
- Troubleshoot electrical and controls issues to keep throughput high and scrap low.
- Perform electrical testing, validation, and preventive maintenance in accordance with NEC, OSHA, LOTO, and GMP requirements.
Fast-paced, high-output manufacturing—plastics, food & beverage, packaging, pharmaceutical, or similar environments—where precision and urgency matter.
What you bring- 6 years as an Industrial/Manufacturing Electrician in an industrial environment.
- Fluency in electrical prints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Licensing: Journeyman or Master Electrician license preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Your own basic hand tools and electrical tooling.
- Candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check (We are a drug-free company)
