Position Summary:
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and actively managing all maintenance operations at Summit Seed Coatings' New Albany plant. This role serves as the primary technical resource for plant equipment, systems, and preventative maintenance programs, ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting efficient production operations.
The Maintenance Supervisor is expected to take ownership of all maintenance activities, independently diagnose and resolve equipment issues, manage contractors and vendors, maintain facility infrastructure, and develop long-term solutions that improve equipment performance and reliability. This hands-on leadership position requires a highly skilled maintenance professional who can balance strategic planning with day-to-day troubleshooting and repair activities while promoting a safe and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:- Own all maintenance operations for the New Albany facility, ensuring equipment, systems, and facilities are maintained in safe and reliable working condition.
- Schedule, prioritize, and coordinate maintenance activities to minimize equipment downtime and production disruptions.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and facility systems.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve preventative maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and longevity.
- Identify root causes of recurring equipment failures and implement permanent corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment histories, inspections, and repair documentation.
- Manage maintenance inventory, spare parts, and critical replacement components.
- Coordinate and oversee outside contractors, service providers, and equipment vendors.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify safety concerns and ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards.
- Partner with plant leadership on equipment upgrades, facility improvements, and capital expenditure planning.
- Recommend and implement process improvements that increase efficiency, reliability, and safety.
- Support production teams by providing technical expertise and responding promptly to maintenance needs.
- Promote and model Summit Seed Coatings' commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

- Minimum 7 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a lead, supervisor, or sole-maintenance role with responsibility for maintenance planning and execution.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, conveyor, and production equipment systems.
- Demonstrated ability to independently diagnose and repair complex equipment issues.
- Experience developing and managing preventative maintenance programs.
- Experience managing contractors, vendors, and maintenance-related projects.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, equipment manuals, and technical drawings.
- Welding, fabrication, machining, and industrial electrical experience strongly preferred.
- PLC troubleshooting experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks associated with industrial maintenance.
- Comfortable working in varied environmental conditions, including hot, cold, and occasionally dusty environments.
- Demonstrates a hands-on, proactive leadership style with strong attention to detail.
- Maintains a high level of professionalism, accountability, and integrity.
- Exhibits adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
