Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site role for a School Bus Driver located in Wheeling, IL. The School Bus Driver will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school, adhering to a predetermined route and schedule. Daily tasks include conducting pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, maintaining cleanliness and safety inside the bus, and ensuring compliance with all traffic and safety regulations. Maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor while interacting with students, parents, and school staff is an integral part of this role.
Qualifications
- Truck Driving and CDL Class B license qualifications
- Defensive Driving skills and knowledge of traffic rules and regulations
- Strong verbal Communication and Customer Service skills
- Ability to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for students
- Previous experience in school transportation is a plus
- High level of reliability, punctuality, and a strong safety mindset
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
