The role of the RN is to ensure that the health and safety of all individuals are met through assessments of the individual, their development and total implementation of appropriate plans of care, supervision of individuals' services, supervision of the care giving staff. The RN will ensure that staff is trained in nursing delegated procedures and policies which are current and up to date. This role will report directly to the Corporate Director of Clinical.

Responsibilities:

• Administers medication or starts intravenous fluids, noting times and amounts on patients charts
• Observes patients, charting and reporting changes in conditions such as adverse reactions to medication or treatment and takes necessary actions.
• Answers patients calls and determines how to assist them.
• Measures and records patients vital signs such as height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration
• Provides basic patient care or treatments such as taking temperatures or blood pressures, dressing wounds, and treating bedsores.
• Works as part of a health care team to assess patient needs, plans and modifies care, and implements interventions.
• Evaluates nursing intervention outcomes, conferring with other health care team members.
• Assembles and uses equipment such as catheters or oxygen delivery.
• Follow and Mandated Care Competency Training Requirements.
• Providing direct patient care by state, federal and facility guidelines.
• Supervising CAN/Ras and training.
• Wound and treatment care.
• Provide general nursing care to patients following the facility nursing policy and procedure.
• Addressing problems identified in the patient care plan for Nurse review.
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Active Nursing License (Registered Nurse) in the state of facility
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English

Physical Requirements:

• Stand, sit and walk for long periods of time.
• Full ranges of motion to climb, balance, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• Full function of hands and arms
• Occasionally lift/or move up to 25 pounds with occasional lifting of residents at higher weight.
• Able to transport residents in wheelchairs.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
