JOB TITLE: Specialist, Corporate Finance (Reporting) FLSA STATUS: Exempt
REPORTS TO: Manager, Corporate Finance (FP&A)
Summary
Summit Polymers is a global Tier 1 automotive part manufacturer. Summit Finance provides accounting, treasury, tax, and reporting services to support the manufacturing operations. Summit develops financial leaders through a rotation program designed to expose new employees to a variety of financial activities and develop broad cross-functional expertise.
Financial specialists may be assigned to a variety of tasks including accounting, tax, treasury and reporting activities. Specialists are responsible for compiling, analyzing and presenting the results of various financial analyses to senior management. The role also includes day-to-day responsibilities for collecting, processing and accurately reporting financial data.
Responsibilities And Duties
The Specialist, Corporate Financial (Reporting) will be assigned a core set of activities which may include any of the following. In addition, assignments will be added to these core responsibilities by management on a discretionary basis:
A minimum of two years of college or specialized training is preferred. Two years experience in general accounting for a medium-to-large sized corporation is preferred, including GL reconciliation.
Skills And Abilities
Possesses the ability to gather and analyze information and make decisions from a limited number of choices.
This position typically does not require any travel.

- Cost Accounting
- Enters initial Bills of Material and changes for all plants.
- Tracks key milestones with Bill Of Materials.
- Ensures compliance with standard processes
- Maintains all intercompany pricing and standard costs.
- Accounting
- Develops, conducts and reports on analysis of key issues.
- Analyzes various general ledger accounts for accuracy.
- Maintain required logs, issue required reports, and create journal entries for month end processing.
- Assist with budget process.
- Reporting
- Completes monthly reports to evaluate cost performance
- Assist with maintaining the fixed asset software system.
- Audit
- Monitor compliance with administrative and financial policies and procedures.
A minimum of two years of college or specialized training is preferred. Two years experience in general accounting for a medium-to-large sized corporation is preferred, including GL reconciliation.
Skills And Abilities
Possesses the ability to gather and analyze information and make decisions from a limited number of choices.
- A minimum score of 50 on the Wonderlic Select Assessment (Traditional score of 26 on the Cognitive portion).
