What are the responsibilities and job description for the Justice Services Program Lead position at Summit Pointe?
Job Summary/Objective:
The Program Lead – Justice services will provide clinical and procedural guidance in the implementation of Summit Pointe Justice Team. This role works closely with the Director of Access and Jail Services to ensure adherence to organizational and programmatic goals and compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
Essential Duties and Functions:
- Ensure timely and consistent staff follow-through on related follow-ups, callback queues, and 24-hour follow-up tasks.
- Assist with and provide training for the Justice Team staff.
- Support program measures and customer outcomes, implement lean management principles, support quality improvement initiatives, assist with problem-solving efforts, and contribute to the development of effective policies and procedures to enhance program performance and outcomes.
- Review and correct timecard and schedule changes to support accurate payroll processing, while coordinating staff coverage, lunch breaks, and customer support to maintain operational flow and ensure a positive customer experience.
- Demonstrates strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills while consistently renewing a commitment to exceeding customer expectations.
- Support the onboarding process by developing and implementing training approaches that facilitate smooth integration of new staff across program operations.
- Participate in corporate quality improvement and problem-solving activities.
- Maintain confidentiality and privacy within MDHHS, state and federal guidelines.
- Provide support in managing complex customers to ensure customers are placed at the right level of care. petitions and coordinate inpatient placements.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Actively participate in and co-facilitate all team meetings (CHW/RC and Access) in partnership with the First Step Lead to ensure alignment, engagement, and effective communication across the team
- Monitor and maintain compliance with all relevant regulatory standards (MDHHS, state, federal, CARF, CMS, Managed Care) and agency policies, including accurate record-keeping and data management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, Psychology, human services or related field, with experience in behavioral health required.
- Actively working towards licensure in the State of Michigan required.
- Two years’ experience in clinical practice within a behavioral healthcare setting and 1 year of experience in an administrative/management capacity preferred.
- This position requires a high degree of clinical knowledge and competence as well as management/business skills and knowledge of community-based behavioral health services
- Self-directed and resourceful.
- One year of computer experience – Word, Excel and electronic medical record software preferred.
- Good organizational, verbal/written communication, computer, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Self-directed and resourceful
- Other duties as assigned

- Professional office environment that generates noise from computer equipment/peripherals.
- Possible exposure to health risks (violence and infectious diseases).
- Sometimes lifts, carry, or move objects up to 25 lbs.
