Position Summary
The Strategic Customer Planning & Supply Chain Manager is responsible for leading the integrated business planning process for our P&G account across multiple manufacturing and distribution sites. This role serves as the central coordinator between customer demand, internal capacity planning, production scheduling, inventory strategy, and customer experience.
The position is responsible for translating changing customer requirements into actionable plans that optimize service, capacity utilization, cost, and network flexibility. Acting as the primary business planning lead for P&G, this individual will drive a disciplined S&OP process while ensuring proactive communication and exceptional customer engagement.
The successful candidate will combine strengths in supply chain planning, customer relationship management, business analytics, and cross-functional leadership.

Key Responsibilities
Customer Business Planning
- Serve as the primary business planning lead for the P&G account.
- Develop and maintain a rolling demand, supply, and capacity plan.
- Lead monthly business reviews and planning discussions.
- Translate customer forecasts into operational plans.
- Identify risks and opportunities within the customer demand picture.
- Lead joint business planning and quarterly business reviews
- Lead continuous improvement and loss analysis events to drive productivity
Integrated Supply Planning
- Lead the internal S&OP process for P&G across all manufacturing locations.
- Evaluate network capacity, labor availability, inventory levels, and production constraints.
- Balance production across 4-5 manufacturing sites to optimize service and cost.
- Develop mitigation plans for customer volume surges and supply disruptions.
- Partner with Operations, Scheduling, Procurement, and Customer Service to develop executable plans.
- Ensure alignment between customer demand and manufacturing capabilities.
Network Optimization
- Assess network-wide capacity utilization.
- Recommend production transfers between facilities when appropriate.
- Identify bottlenecks and develop contingency plans.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that increase flexibility and responsiveness.
- Evaluate cost-to-serve implications of planning decisions.
Customer Experience Leadership
- Act as the primary customer-facing planning and operational contact.
- Build trusted relationships with customer supply chain, category planning, procurement, and operations teams.
- Lead issue resolution and escalation management.
- Communicate risks, constraints, and recovery plans proactively.
- Deliver a customer experience centered on transparency, responsiveness, and execution excellence.
Business Analytics & Decision Support
- Develop key planning and performance metrics.
- Monitor forecast accuracy, service levels, inventory, capacity utilization, and cost performance.
- Provide regular business updates to executive leadership.
- Deliver scenario analysis and recommendations to support business decisions.
- Identify trends and opportunities to improve operational performance.

Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Logistics, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in supply chain planning, customer supply chain, S&OP, integrated business planning, or operations management.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Preferred
- Experience supporting large CPG customers.
- Experience with P&G, Walmart, Target, Amazon, or similar enterprise customers.
- Background in contract manufacturing, consumer goods, packaging, or related industries.
- Experience with ERP and planning systems.
