SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Directs the activities of employees engaged in manufacturing processes including but, not limited to training and supervising, maintaining a positive work environment, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and established policies and procedures. The candidate works both autonomously and with Supervision to direct staff and meet company production goals. Works to ensure the quality of the operation and timeliness standards are met to satisfy customer requirements. Oversees production and assists in the safe manufacturing of orders from our customers. Perform checks at the production line and on finished products to ensure specification compliance. Responsible for clearing unused materials and setting up new materials during changeover. Maintain records of daily production, and coordinate with the Operations Manager on staffing needs. Ensures a safe and clean environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems;managing schedules and workflow.
· Carries out supervisory responsibilities per the organization's policies and applicable laws.
· Be an advocate for safe work habits and a safe work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing company standards, GMPs, PPE requirements, and procedures.
· Works hand in hand with the Operations Manager to plan and coordinate resource needs, as well as project completion timelines
· Reads production schedules and coordinates setup team.
· Work without direct oversight while still maintaining production standards.
· Manages workforce accountability and, as needed, escalates issues to the Operations Manager.
· Conveys materials and items from warehouse or production areas systematically.
· Creates work orders, or requests for materials, equipment, or other required items, and distributes items to the production line
· Runs appropriate Applications to track product and production systematically.
· Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed to each line
· Ensures count for items for use on the line to confirm inventory for production and return to stock.
· Oversees arrangement of lines and parts in specified sequence for assembly by other workers to meet or exceed production standards.
· Compiles worksheets from customer specifications.
· Completes requisition forms to order materials from other plant departments.
· Prepares, performs, and documents personnel training to ensure personnel have the appropriate training and understanding of manufacturing processes.
· Complies with safety rules and ensures compliance with OSHA standards, and state and local regulations including FDA standards.
· Ability to communicate effectively with customers, peers, management, team members, and other departments.
· Responsible for cross-communication between shifts.
· Performs required administrative tasks; prepares required reports and correspondence.
· Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
· Supervisory/ management in a production facility: 1 year (Required)
· Leadership: 2year (Required)
· Microsoft Excel: 1 year (Required)
· Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates
· Must have a basic knowledge of lean manufacturing and understand and can implement single-piece flow processes
· Ability to perform changeover and make appropriate minor adjustments to machines.
· Ability to comprehend and follow the Planning Instructions
· Two or more years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Strong technical experience with the ability to quickly learn new programs and applications to support the operations
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
· Effective communication/presentation skills (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
· Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers and common fractions, and decimals.
· Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
· Being proficient in Packmanager(Nulogy) is a plus.
· Working knowledge and experience using general office software.
· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
· Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to: stand; walk; sit; use hands finger dexterity, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift, push, or move items up to 50 pounds. Use visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and use a keyboard. Frequently work near moving mechanical parts. Occasionally work in high, precarious places. Occasionally work around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals. Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and loud noises. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position requires work in both an office setting and a warehouse setting. Work occasionally requires “after-hours” communication or extended work hours, including weekend or evening work. Working conditions in the warehouse setting may or may not be environmentally controlled resulting in hot or cold temperatures.
