SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

The Kitting Lead is responsible for leading a team of Kitters & Forklift Drivers to kit orders and pre-assemble individual items to customer specifications for production based on work order requirements while maintaining efficiency, speed, accuracy, and quality.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Follows and enforces all the policies and procedures set forth to promote quality, regulatory compliance, and safety and reports any outages.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, peers, management, team members, and other departments.
  • Creates a picklist for Kitters to assemble materials for work orders in an efficient, accurate, and safe manner.
  • Provide directions to the Kitters and Forklift Operators.
  • Ensure hand assembly of components, hardware, and parts is accurate when the team is making kits.
  • Helps pick through inventory using warehouse equipment to gather needed parts for kits when needed.
  • Helps prepare orders - Poly bagging, sorting, product labeling, taping boxes, and shrink wrapping when needed.
  • Conducts visual, and quality inspection of kits, and performs audits of team’s kits.
  • Research missing pallets, perform inventory adjustments, and maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Identifies and inspects all returned product counts, documents, and returns to the warehouse.
  • Performs the duties of employees you are leading and other related tasks as needed.
  • Reports material shortages and adjustments to Warehouse Supervisor and Warehouse Manager.
  • Ensures production schedule accurately reflects the work orders ‘kitting statuses’ at the end of each shift.
  • Ensures company security requirements are followed, including identifying any processing areas that are not in compliance.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment and reports unsafe conditions within the area.
  • Recognizes deficiencies and initiates proper follow-up.
  • Aids in troubleshooting and supports resolution of incoming materials issues.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required
  • 2-5 years Warehouse Experience
  • Outlook and Excel experience required.
  • Forklift certified required.
  • Strong math skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for root cause analysis
  • Possess high professional ethics, dependability, good judgment, and the ability to take decisive action
  • Effective communication/presentation skills (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, time-restricted environment.
  • General Professional Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English (bilingual a plus)
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload.

  • Working knowledge of cGMP’s

Pay: Up to $20.00 per hour
