This position is responsible for ensuring that vehicles and driver are being utilized to their fullest potential in a safe manner.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Vehicle scheduling and dispatch
- Vehicle inspection and maintenance
- Monitoring, correcting, and improving driving behavior and operations.
- Mentoring and coaching drivers
- Setting drivers schedules
- Tracking driver attendance, health, and other statuses.
- Ensuring drivers adhere to applicable transportation regulations
- Maintaining communication with drivers
- Train drivers on risk management protocols, safety standards etc
- Fleet performance and expenses
- Maintain lists of active vehicles and vehicles in need of repair.
- 1-3 years previous experience in related industry preferred
- CDL required, Class A preferred
- Demonstrated decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to respond quickly and effectively under pressure and deadlines
