Position Overview
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing landscape construction projects from post-sale
through completion. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the
highest quality standards, while coordinating between clients, designers, vendors, and
production teams.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
- Develop and manage project timelines and schedules
- Oversee all phases of construction from pre-construction to closeout
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within scope
Production Coordination
- Schedule and manage field crews and subcontractors
- Coordinate labor, equipment, and materials across projects
- Monitor progress and adjust schedules as needed
Procurement & Supply Chain
- Manage ordering and delivery of materials (plants, hardscape, irrigation, etc.)
- Ensure materials are available when needed to avoid delays
Vendor & Subcontractor Management
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships
- Schedule and oversee subcontractors
- Ensure quality and performance standards are met
Client Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during construction
- Provide regular updates and manage expectations
- Resolve issues professionally and efficiently
Budget & Cost Control
- Track project budgets, costs, and profitability
- Manage change orders and cost adjustments
- Ensure projects meet financial targets
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with designers and architects to execute project vision
- Provide feedback to improve design and construction efficiency
Qualifications
- 3 years of project management experience in landscape construction or similar field
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and site logistics
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Experience with budgeting and cost control
- Proficiency in project management tools (Notion, Monday, or similar is a plus)
