The .85 Sources of Strength Coordinator position at Summit High School involves leading implementation of an evidence-based, strength-based suicide prevention and mental health promotion program. Sources of Strength utilizes peer leadership and adult mentorship to enhance protective factors and reduce risk of suicide, violence, bullying, and substance misuse through upstream prevention efforts. This role requires coordinating training for adult advisors and peer leaders, facilitating ongoing messaging campaigns focused on hope, help, and strength, and providing school-wide leadership to support program sustainability. The coordinator will work to build authentic connections between students and trusted adults while fostering positive school culture and wellness norms across the school community. This position is an ongoing grant funded position and therefore hired as interim.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be currently licensed through the Colorado Department of Education or must be able to obtain a license through CDE (Teacher OR SSP School Psychologist, SSP School Counselor, or SSP Social Worker, or another applicable license)
- Strong ability to build relationships with diverse groups of students, staff, and community members; excellent communication and facilitation skills for training adult advisors and peer leaders

Experience coordinating multi-component programs, managing timelines, and providing ongoing technical assistance and support to implementation teams

Salary: SSP Scale or Certified Teacher Salary, dependent on qualifications
