GENERAL SUMMARY

Your responsibilities will include greeting customers, answering their questions, providing product information, and more. You will also assist in stocking shelves, creating displays of merchandise, and helping to maintain a clean and orderly merchandise presentation and overall store cleanliness.

BENEFITS:

Team Members who work an average of 30 - 36 hours per week and have successfully completed six months of employment with the company will receive 20 hours of vacation per calendar year. Team Members who work an average of 30 hours per week or more also may receive three paid holidays throughout the calendar year.

PAY RANGE: $12.00 - $17.00

Starting pay is based upon experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Store Operations

Ensure a positive, professional, and safe work environment for all associates.

Work with Store Lead on all aspects of running the store.

Participate in scheduled staff meetings.

Communicate issues with the Store Lead.

Assist in creating a positive, professional, and safe work environment.

Assist with:

Receiving, checking in and accurately stocking of merchandise throughout the store.

Maintaining back stock levels.

Providing a clean and orderly sales floor, including end caps and ad merchandise.

Ensure signage is current throughout the store.

Ensure pricing is current throughout the store.

Customer Service

Provide a positive representation of Ace Hardware.

Proactively assist customers in solving problems.

Greet customers entering and throughout the store. Thank customers when finished and when they are leaving the store.

Possess a friendly outgoing demeanor, work well with customers as well as associates.

Ensure all radio pages and calls are answered promptly, courteously, and effectively.

Forward any customer complaint that cannot be handled to a member of management.

Possess strong product knowledge and knowledge of store layout and location of products.

Assist customers throughout with personal, customized based on the premise of amazing every customer, every time.

Ensure all job-related calls, WhatsApp messages, texts, and emails are answered promptly, courteously, and effectively.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers; handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is required to stand; walk; and reach with hands and arms for the duration of their shift. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
