Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Optician to join our team. As an Optician, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional eye care services to our patients. You will assist customers in selecting and fitting eyeglasses, as well as provide guidance on frame selection and lens options. Duties:
- Assist customers in selecting and fitting eyeglasses
- Take accurate measurements of customers' eyes and facial features
- Provide guidance on frame selection, lens options, and lens coatings
- Adjust and repair eyewear as needed
- Educate customers on proper eyewear care and maintenance
- Maintain accurate records of customer prescriptions and orders
- Collaborate with optometrists to ensure accurate prescription fulfillment
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in eyewear fashion
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of optics, anatomy of the eye, and vision correction
- Familiarity with pediatric eye care is a plus
- Familiarity with VSP & EM
- Proficiency in retail math systems for pricing and inventory management
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Experience in retail sales, preferably in an optical setting
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently
