Job Title: Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) / Case Manager
Reports To: Program Manager/ Clinical Director
Employment Type: Full-Time
Working Hours: Sun- Thu 8am to 4:30pm
Preferred 1 year of experience in substance abuse counseling but not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide case management and counseling services for clients with substance use, trauma, and co-occurring mental health disorders.
- Facilitate group recovery sessions with a trauma-informed approach.
- Integrate whole-health strategies into treatment plans to support clients’ long-term recovery.
- Collaborate with clinical teams and outside providers to coordinate individualized care plans.
- Conduct intakes, assessments, and progress documentation.
- Support urine testing, breathalyzer checks, and medication monitoring as needed.
- Participate in clinical meetings, sharing case notes and updates.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, state, and federal regulations.
- Promote safety, infection control, and client wellbeing at all times.
Qualifications
- Preferred 1 year of experience in substance abuse counseling but not required.
- Strong team collaboration and communication skills.
- CPR, First Aid certification, and negative TB test required.
- Strong writing and documentation skills.
- Must be registered, certified, or licensed with a California-recognized organization.
- Valid California Driver’s License required.
