Elementary School Intervention Specialist (Multiple Disabilities Classroom)

Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Intervention Specialist to join our elementary school team in a Multiple Disabilities (MD) classroom. The ideal candidate will hold a valid Ohio teaching license with a Moderate to Intensive Intervention Specialist endorsement preferred. This position involves working collaboratively with staff to provide individualized instruction by creating a flexible program and learning environment that provides specialized instruction for students with disabilities.
Qualifications:
Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist license (Moderate/Intensive)
Experience or strong interest in working with students with multiple disabilities
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student’s needs
Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff
Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed
Provide direct instruction in academic, functional, and social-emotional skills
Maintain a safe and positive classroom environment
