Role Description:
The 3rd Shift Injection Molding Machine Operator is a full-time, on-site role based in Toledo, OH. This role is responsible for operating a 700 ton Van Dorn injection molding machine to produce seedling shelters according to established specifications and safety standards. Day-to-day tasks include setting up and adjusting machinery, monitoring production runs, performing basic troubleshooting, and completing routine cleaning and minor maintenance. The operator will inspect parts for quality, document production data, and follow safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment. Collaboration with supervisors and team members is required to report issues, support continuous improvement, and meet production and quality targets during 3rd shift operations.
Looking for 4 -12 shifts per week. Monday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday.
Offering shift differential pay and overtime.
Qualifications:
- Ability to operate and monitor injection molding and related machinery, with strong Machine Operation skills.
- Experience with Quality Control practices, including visual inspection, measurement, and documentation of finished parts.
- Comfort working with basic Hand Tools for setup, adjustments, and minor equipment maintenance.
- Effective Communication skills for coordinating with supervisors and team members and accurately reporting production or safety issues.
- Prior experience in manufacturing or plastics production, especially injection molding, is preferred.
- Understanding of workplace safety standards and willingness to follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Ability to lift moderate weights, and work consistently during 3rd shift hours.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in manufacturing or machine operation is a plus.
