What are the responsibilities and job description for the Deburr position at Summit Employment Professionals?
Local machine shop is needing to fill a deburr tech.
Job Functions:
- Grind, file, sand, and polish metal surfaces to aircraft standards using hand tools
- Cleans interior surfaces of holes using reamer or burr whip
- Remove burrs and smooth out contoured surfaces with air tools, belt sanders, Dotco
- Ensure organized and clean work area
- Perform repetitive motions involving wrist/arms/hands
Skills Required:
- Good attendance record
- Read and interpret blueprints, customer specifications, drawings
- Ability to use vibratory hand tools for extended periods of time
- Ability to determine the kind of tools and equipment needed to do the job
- Must be able to deburr parts in a safe and efficient manner
- Visually distinguish differences in parts
- Exercise good housekeeping practices
- Self-motivated
- Countersink experience
- Verify dimensions and radii, using micrometers, dial indicators and calipers
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Machine shop experience preferred
- Deburr Experience *REQUIRED*
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Hours: Mon. - Thurs., 7 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.; Fri., 7 to 11 a.m.
Compensation: $15 - $20/hr, OT as needed
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
