Interior Designer associate
Summit Design Center is a 2000 sq ft design showroom in Silverthorne CO. We offer all finishes, tile, flooring, lighting, plumbing, Cabinets and furniture. We have an award-winning team of designers and support staff who love to create fabulous, inviting spaces for our valued clients and trade partners. We are looking to add another talented designer to our team. We are looking for a designer 1-2 years out of school who has a love for design and wants to learn the industry.
Designers must create and maintain trusted relationships with staff, clients, architects, builders and more, through a professional demeanor and excellent graphic, verbal and written communication skills.
Design is a profession that requires one to stay current with trends in order to remain competitive. It is expected that Designers drive their own professional development, keeping abreast of the latest developments in technology, concepts and materials. Designers are expected to take advantage of vendor presentations hosted by Summit Design Center, as well as, occasional educational and developmental opportunities outside of normal business hours.
We are looking for an interior designer who:
- Builds positive relationships with clientele.
- Is confident in sales.
- Is talented in all aspects of interior design.

Responsibilities include:
- Finishes sales on the showroom floor.
- Providing interior design services in-store and on location.
- All aspects of store merchandising.
- Increase number of Clients
- Design, create, and sell inviting environments that represent client’s lifestyle, taste, and budget
- Provide professional design consultation
- Develop design factors based on client parameters such as budgets, design style, purpose and function.
- Generate accurate, to scale, digital tile drawings for clients to sign off and contractors to use for installation purposes
- Drive top line sales
- Meet established sales goals set forth by management
- Physical demands may include, but are not limited to, assisting with receiving merchandise (lifting, moving and opening large boxes), assisting with installations (checking material in at the job site), and transporting large amounts of design materials for client presentations.

Qualifications:
- BFA or BS in Interior Design or equivalent certificate in Interior Design is required
- 1-2 years’ experience in a design firm
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record is required
- Previous selling experience strongly preferred
- 20/20 training is a plus
- Experience in using floor and space planning applications
- Knowledgeable of general principles of home décor, design and sales
- Excellent communication skills, customer service skills, and organizational skills
- Ability to effectively manage time and conflicting priorities
- Ability to work effectively and productively with others as a team
- Ability to work the schedule and hours dictated by business needs
- Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required
- Excellent computer skills
