As a Loan Processor 1, you’ll play a key role in supporting the mortgage loan process from application through closing. Work is performed in a typical administrative setting with climate control and appropriate lighting. Travel to branches may require exposure to outdoor and traffic conditions.

As a Loan Processor 1, you’ll play a key role in supporting the mortgage loan process from application through closing. Through attention to detail, strong communication, and collaboration, you’ll help ensure accurate, compliant, and timely loan completion while delivering a high-quality member experience.
What You’ll Do (Your Impact)
- Support mortgage loan processing or closing activities, including documentation, verifications, and file preparation
- Submit complete and compliant loan applications to underwriting with all required documentation
- Monitor loan pipelines daily to ensure timely progression and completion of tasks
- Collaborate with underwriters, Mortgage Loan Officers, and internal and external partners to optimize the loan experience
- Prepare loan documents and maintain accurate, organized member files
- Ensure final closing packages and figures are delivered to appropriate parties within established timelines
- Communicate clearly and consistently with members throughout the loan process across multiple channels
- Resolve routine and complex issues using strong problem-solving and customer service skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework in real estate, lending, or related field preferred
- Ability to obtain and maintain NMLS registration
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a mortgage lending environment
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of mortgage laws and regulations
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform accurate, detail-oriented work
- Intermediate mathematical skills (including calculations involving decimals, percentages, and fractions)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to problem-solve, investigate issues, and follow up effectively with members and colleagues
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
