What are the responsibilities and job description for the AHA CPR Instructor - Experience Required - Flexible Schedule position at Summit CPR Training?
We're searching for a part-time American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Provider CPR Instructor to teach about 8-12 classes a month. Each class is about 3.5 hours long (BLS Instructor-led) and about 1 hour long for the Skills Session (about 4.5 hours total). Classes are held on weeknights, weekdays, and weekends.
Credential Requirements:
Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Provider Instructor certification to teach the Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider class & BLS Skills Sessions (Blended Learning).
Other Requirements:
- Ability to create a positive and constructive learning environment
- Ability to create a positive experience for each student, despite different students’ needs
- Ability to communicate course material in a clear and understandable manner
- Ability to teach effectively in an adult learning environment

Class Schedule:
Weekdays
Day: 10:00 AM - BLS (Instructor-led) / 1:30 PM - (BLS Skills Session)
Evening: 4:30 PM - BLS (Skills Session) / 5:30 PM - BLS (Instructor-led)
Weekends
Day: 9:00 AM - BLS (Instructor-led) / 12:30 PM - BLS (Skills Session)
Responsibilities:
It's the instructor's responsibility is to teach the course according to the AHA BLS Provider standards. The instructor will provide high-quality instruction according to AHA requirements, deliver a high level of customer service to students, provide necessary reports, and manage/clean equipment.
