Duties
- Remove damaged or broken auto glass using manual cutting tools and specialized hand tools, ensuring safety and precision throughout the process
- Install new auto glass components, including windshields, side windows, and rear windows, adhering to manufacturer specifications and safety standards
- Perform automotive glass repairs when applicable, restoring damaged glass surfaces to optimal condition
- Operate company vehicles safely to reach customer locations promptly and efficiently
- Handle glass materials with care, ensuring proper storage, transportation, and handling to prevent damage or injury
- Conduct vehicle inspections before and after installation to identify additional repair needs or potential issues
- Use power tools safely during installation procedures, maintaining a clean and organized workspace at all times
- Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks as needed, including minor mechanical repairs or adjustments related to glass fitting
Skills
- Proven dealership experience or background in automotive repair highly preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in auto body repair and automotive glass replacement
- Skilled in handling various glass materials and using hand tools for precise fitting and installation
- Ability to operate power tools safely while maintaining high standards of quality workmanship
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting directly with clients
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures relevant to auto glass installation projects
- Capable of heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks associated with handling large or heavy glass panels
- Attention to detail in fitting glass installation for a seamless finish that meets safety regulations
- MUST have auto glass insallation experience
