Quality Control Manager
Job Overview
Pay: $80,000- $110,000
We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to build, lead, and continuously improve our quality program. This role owns inspection and testing throughout production, ensuring every vehicle is release-ready and fully compliant with company and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the Quality Control team; assign work, set priorities, and maintain accountability
- Oversee inspection and testing activities throughout production, from in-process checks to final release
- Perform shop-floor, staging/parking, and road-readiness inspections to verify vehicle readiness
- Confirm vehicles meet work order requirements, build specifications, and documented standards
- Inspect internal and supplier-provided components; approve, reject, and manage nonconformances
- Partner with Production and Engineering to support repairs, corrective actions, and process improvements
- Create, update, and enforce Quality Control procedures, policies, and inspection standards
- Maintain complete and accurate quality documentation, including inspection reports, certifications, and critical measurements
Requirements:
- 8–10 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience managing a Quality Management System (QMS)
- Ability to meet production deadlines in a fast-paced setting
- Must be located in the Massachusetts, Albany, or Bennington Vermont areas
- Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring and directing teams
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
