Job Overview
Summit Cabin Rentals is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cabin Inspector to help ensure our vacation cabins are guest-ready before each check-in. This role is essential in maintaining the high standards our guests expect.
The Cabin Inspector is responsible for inspecting cabins after cleaning and before guest arrival to verify cleanliness, check inventory, restock essential supplies, and perform light maintenance tasks when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect cabins prior to guest check-in to ensure cleanliness, organization, and overall readiness
- Verify that all rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, and outdoor areas meet company cleanliness standards
- Check cabin inventory and restock essential items as needed
- Replace or report items such as:
- Light bulbs
- Batteries
- Air filters
- Basic guest supplies
- Propane tank exchange
- Perform basic maintenance tasks when possible and report larger issues to the maintenance team
- Ensure appliances, electronics, and cabin features are functioning properly
- Document inspection results and report any issues promptly
- Maintain attention to detail to ensure a high-quality guest experience
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
- Basic knowledge of household maintenance is helpful
- Reliable transportation required (travel between cabins)
- Clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move around cabins comfortably
- Troubleshooting common household electronics such as smart TVs and streaming devices.
- Prior hospitality, housekeeping, or property cleaning experience is a plus but not required
Work Environment
- Work takes place at various cabin locations in the Sevierville / Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg area
- Combination of indoor and outdoor work
- Flexible scheduling may include weekends and holidays depending on guest bookings
