Summit Athletic Club is seeking a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to serve as a dedicated personal accountant for the business owner. This is a unique opportunity for a trustworthy, detail-oriented professional who can manage complex personal finances, tax planning, and private investments - while also offering occasional support to our in-house business accountant.
This is a full-time, in-office position designed for someone who is comfortable working independently, highly discreet, and capable of organizing both short- and long-term financial strategies across multiple personal accounts and entities.
Primary Responsibilities (Personal Accounting Focus):
Manage all aspects of the owner's personal financial records and reporting
Prepare and file individual tax returns, estimated payments, and required documentation
Track income from multiple sources, including investments, real estate, and private holdings
Coordinate and oversee charitable donations and gifting strategies
Assist with estate planning and trust accounting in collaboration with legal advisors
Monitor personal budgets, spending, and financial goals
Provide high-level financial advice and tax planning to support long-term wealth management
Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Secondary Responsibilities (Support for Summit Athletic Club Accountant):
Collaborate with the Summit Athletic Club accountant on owner-related business financial matters
Assist with organizing tax documents, reports, and reconciliations when needed
Offer professional input or review on accounting or tax-related questions
Serve as a backup resource during peak periods or when special projects arise
Qualifications:
Active CPA license (Required)
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum of 3 years experience in personal accounting, private client services, or family office environments
Strong tax knowledge and familiarity with complex individual returns
Experience managing investment accounts, trusts, or high-net-worth finances (preferred)
Proficient in financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel, tax prep programs)
Highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
Must demonstrate discretion, reliability, and trustworthiness
