Job Summary Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automatic door systems in compliance with AAADM (American Association of Automatic Door Manufacturers) standards and ANSI/BHMA A156.10 safety requirements. Ensure all automatic entrance systems operate safely and reliably for commercial, financial, healthcare, retail, and institutional clients.

Key Responsibilities

· Install, adjust, service, and repair automatic sliding, swinging, folding, and revolving door systems

· Perform routine preventive maintenance inspections per AAADM guidelines

· Conduct safety checks and certify door systems to AAADM/ANSI standards, issuing inspection certificates

· Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and sensor-related issues and perform corrective repairs

· Read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and equipment manuals

· Program and configure door operators, access control interfaces, and safety sensors

· Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, and parts documentation

· Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to customers and IML team

· Order and manage parts inventory for service calls

· Respond to emergency service requests as needed

· Ensure job site safety and compliance with OSHA regulations

Required Qualifications

· Active AAADM certification (required)

· High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training preferred

· 2 years of experience in automatic door installation and service

· Strong knowledge of low-voltage electrical systems and pneumatic/hydraulic components

· Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment

· Valid driver's license with clean driving record

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience with major brands (Tormax, Stanley, Horton, Nabco/Gyro-Tech, Record, Dorma, etc.)

· Knowledge of ADA compliance requirements for accessible entrances

· Familiarity with access control systems and building automation integration

· Ability to read architectural drawings

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

· Field-based role with travel to customer sites

· Must be able to lift up to 50–75 lbs. and work at heights using ladders

· Exposure to varying weather conditions and construction environments

· Valid driver's license required; company vehicle provided

Compensation

· $40-$60/hr. commensurate with experience

· Benefits include health insurance, paid time off, 401k w/match from day 1

· Overtime and prevailing wage pay opportunities
