Part-Time Instructional Paraprofessional – Summit Academy Bluffdale Campus
Summit Academy Bluffdale is accepting applications for part-time Instructional Paraprofessionals. This position will be working closely with children in a part-time capacity. The focus of instruction is math.
Candidates’ duties include, but are not limited to:
- Providing instructional, behavioral, and other support to students in and outside of the classroom
- Assist teachers in small groups with Language Arts, Math classes and other teaching duties as needed.
- Ability to lead small groups communicate orally and in writing; and adhere to safety practices
- Demonstrate regular and prompt attendance to ensure a consistent focus on student learning.
- Ability to administer first aid; apply assessments; prepare and maintain accurate records.
- Perform other duties as assigned when needed.
- Will be in outdoor weather conditions during portions of workday.
Preferred Paraprofessional skills and qualifications:
- Must consent to a background check.
- High school or equivalent
- Candidates must meet paraprofessional standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to assist in classroom instruction and learning.
- Great attention to detail.
- Ability to work closely with children.
- Excellent teamwork skills.
- Ability to remain calm and patient.
- Knowledge of classroom subjects.
This is a great opportunity to earn while you learn under the direction of a teacher. Hours/Salary Part- time hours: 20-22 hours per week with additional hours Monday- Thursday 10:15 am - 3:30 pm.
