HR Generalist

Summertown Metals of Hopkinsville is looking for a self motivated individual to work as the HR Generalist. Previous HR experience is a plus. This is a full-time position which is eligible for benefits such as medical, dental, vision, accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity, STD, LTD, life, vacation and PTO. The office hours are Monday - Friday 7 am til 5 pm.

Job duties include, but are not limited to

• Review and update all personnel profiles. Make sure all data is documented in the appropriate area.

• Keep Recruiting website updated at all times.

• Be present and assist with new hire interviews.

• Assist in developing on board process for new employees.

• Perform new-hire orientations as needed.

• Assist in setting up Employee Benefits.

• Gate Keeper for Time Clock System, entering time adjustments as needed.

• Gate Keeper for Employee Handbook and revision of current and new processes.

• Assist monitoring monthly KRA updates and ensure leaders are reviewing with their team members.

• Partner with payroll to ensure wage and benefit changes are implemented properly.

• Investigate and assist with complaints brought forward by employees.

• Conduct reference checks and perform background checks for new hires.

• Separate employee system for tracking health related items

• Ensure I-9s are processed in a timely manner.

• Assist in weekly safety meetings as needed with the safety coordinator.

• Help set up work comp file for work comp cases. Assist safety coordinator with any needed information in completing OSHA 300 forms each year.

• Monitor and champion Drug Free Workplace and random drug screen policy.
