Overview
Join our dedicated team as a Memory Care Caregiver, providing compassionate, person-centered support to residents with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and other memory impairments. This full-time or part-time role offers opportunities to work overnight (NOC) shifts for one candidate, PM shifts (6pm to 10 pm) for two candidates, and On-call shifts for one candidate, ensuring our residents receive the highest quality of care in a warm and engaging environment. Your energy, empathy, and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and individuals with disabilities.
Duties
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support using Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices.
- Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure resident health and safety
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols and maintain detailed medication records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Provide engaging social interaction and companionship to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being
- Implement behavior management techniques tailored to residents with dementia or developmental disabilities to reduce agitation and enhance comfort
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks in accordance with dietary guidelines while maintaining cleanliness in dining areas
- Support residents during outings or community activities, including safe transportation when required
Skills
- Proven experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or personal care homes working with seniors or individuals with disabilities
- Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and memory care best practices
- Ability to assist with ADLs effectively while maintaining dignity and respect for residents
- Familiarity with vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and basic first aid procedures
- Experience working with EMR systems for documentation and record keeping
- Strong understanding of long-term care procedures, behavior management strategies, and home & community care standards
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members, residents, families, and healthcare professionals
- Valid driver’s license for transportation duties; experience with driving or community outings is a plus
