Bridge Crew Laborer

Job Summary:

The Bridge Crew Laborer performs a wide range of tasks including placing, finishing, protecting, and repairing concrete in a safe and efficient manner and according to federal and state heavy highway regulations. This position requires performing work at heights up to 80ft, requiring employees to climb ladders and scaffolding.

Essential Functions:

• Experienced with riding trowel machines and techniques/methods of finishing flat and super-flat floors
• Ability to work off shift hours and overtime as required
• Smooths and finishes surfaces of poured concrete floors, walls, slabs, elevated slabs, and sitework
• Spread concrete to specified depth and workable consistency
• Finishes concrete surfaces using power trowel; rub and patch concrete
• Loads, transports, and unloads tools, equipment, and supplies required for each project
• Perform minor maintenance and cleaning activities with tools and equipment
• Can work in a high production environment with safety top of mind.

Requirements:

• Prior bridge construction experience preferred
• Must have reliable transportation
• Strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job--lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds; stand, walk on uneven surfaces, manually manipulate, grasp, reach out and above shoulder, climb, kneel, bend, twist, and push/pull
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including working overtime and weekends as needed
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Must pass drug screen and physical
• Must comply with criminal background check
• Must comply with I-9 and E-Verify requirements

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $22.40 per hour
