Description::
Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Dietary Aide to join our team at Award-Winning Summerfield of Hammond Retirement Community. This person will be responsible for working as a team, helping in the kitchen, serving as well as washing dishes and maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen. The successful candidate will have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities::
Ensure that all food items are prepared to the appropriate temperature and are safe for consumption
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including washing and sanitizing equipment and utensils
Monitor inventory levels and notify the kitchen manager when supplies are running low
Assist with the receiving and storage of food deliveries
Assist with the cleaning and maintenance of the kitchen and equipment
Wash dishes, pots, and batter pans by hand
Always adhere to food safety and kitchen safety procedures
Assist with other kitchen tasks as needed
Requirements::
Previous experience in a kitchen
Knowledge of food safety regulations
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
Availability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays
