We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Health Services Director (Director of Nursing) to join our leadership team.

About the Role
The Health Services Director is responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing all nursing and personal care services within our assisted living community.
As a key member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring residents receive the highest quality care while maintaining compliance with state regulations and community standards.
This position oversees the recruitment, training, scheduling, supervision, and development of the Health Services team while partnering closely with residents, families, healthcare providers, and community leadership to ensure excellent outcomes and continuity of care.
The ideal candidate is a strong clinical leader who can balance resident care, team leadership, regulatory compliance, and day-to-day operations in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do
- Clinical Leadership & Resident Care
- Oversee all nursing and personal care services within the community
- Conduct resident assessments before admission and upon changes in condition
- Develop, implement, and update resident service plans
- Monitor resident wellness and respond appropriately to changes in condition
- Coordinate care planning meetings with residents and families
- Ensure physician orders and treatments are implemented accurately and timely
- Oversee medication management and delegation programs
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in PointClickCare
- Promote infection prevention and resident safety initiatives
- Team Leadership & Staff Development
- Recruit, hire, onboard, train, and supervise Health Services staff
- Develop work schedules and staffing plans to meet resident needs
- Conduct performance evaluations and coaching conversations
- Support professional growth through ongoing education and training
- Ensure staff maintain required certifications and regulatory training
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable team culture
- Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with all state regulations and community policies
- Maintain accurate resident records and documentation
- Lead quality assurance initiatives and clinical audits
- Review and update departmental policies and procedures
- Participate in community emergency preparedness and safety programs
- Community & Family Relations
- Serve as a trusted resource for residents and their families
- Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and outside agencies
- Meet with prospective residents and families regarding care needs
- Support successful resident transitions into the community
- Collaborate with department leaders to provide exceptional resident experiences

Qualifications
Required
- Active New Hampshire Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum three years of management, supervisory, or leadership experience
- CPR and First Aid Certification
- Strong clinical assessment and care planning skills
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational abilities
Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or a related field
- Previous senior living, assisted living, long-term care, or healthcare management experience
- Experience with PointClickCare or similar electronic health record systems
- Experience leading, coaching, and developing clinical teams
Schedule
- Full-Time
- Participation in the Manager-on-Duty rotation
