 Qualifications of an ideal Hospitality Director:

  • Combination of education and/or experience working with Seniors
  • 2–3 years of experience in Life Enrichment (Activities/Programming), Customer Service, and Hospitality within a Senior Living setting
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong communication, organizational, and hospitality-focused leadership skills
  • Experience coordinating resident engagement programming, events, and communications preferred

Hospitality Director Job Summary:

The Hospitality Director is responsible for overseeing resident hospitality services, engagement programming, and communication initiatives across Independent Living and Assisted Living. This role serves as a key operational leader focused on enhancing the resident experience, supporting occupancy and retention efforts, and ensuring consistency in quality programming and services.

Essential Functions:

  • Implement the mission, vision, and goals of the organization while upholding and promoting company culture
  • Provide oversight and execution of Independent Living program development and resident engagement initiatives
  • Own and manage the Independent Living activity and programming calendar
  • Coordinate and oversee resident and family communication materials, including newsletters and community updates for both Independent Living and Assisted Living
  • Collaborate with the Sales Team on event planning, marketing initiatives, and community engagement opportunities
  • Monitor participation, satisfaction, and overall success of resident programs and events
  • Support strategic planning initiatives related to occupancy, retention, and resident satisfaction through innovative hospitality and programming efforts
  • Ensure consistency and quality of resident engagement programming across Independent Living and Assisted Living
  • Maintain resident satisfaction through ongoing feedback collection and service improvement initiatives
  • Provide administrative oversight related to calendars, scheduling, publishing, and resident communications
  • Manage and address the community’s first impressions, including completion of the First Impressions Tool according to company standards
  • Direct supervision of Concierge team members
  • Leadership oversight of Transportation Drivers and Life Enrichment Assistants supporting Independent Living and Assisted Living
  • Cross-functional support of housekeeping and life engagement associates serving Independent Living residents
  • Support transportation and resident engagement programs in collaboration with community leadership
