About Us
Summer Street Advisors is a boutique commercial real estate consulting firm located in Westport, CT. Our clients include Banks, Private Equity Funds, Hedge Funds, Asset Managers, Developers and Family Offices that provide debt and/or invest across the United States in all commercial real estate asset classes. The primary purpose of the Sales Director role is to identify, pursue, and close new opportunities in the Underwriting, Asset Management, Appraisal Review, and Site Inspection sectors of the company. This will be achieved by the Director delivering compelling value add solutions and positioning our advisory as a strategic differentiator to our current and future clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect and qualify inbound/outbound opportunities
- Develop strategic account plans for key clients and prospective clients
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline with accurate forecasting
- Understand client objectives and articulate our value proposition with client-specific CRE insights and data-driven recommendations.
- Lead the RFP/RFQ process, coordinate with team members, and deliver compelling proposals and presentations.
- Establish and expand executive-level relationships with clients and prospects
- Negotiate terms, scopes, and contracts to maximize value and ensure fulfillment feasibility.
- Manage client expectations and ensure high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.
- Monitor CRE market trends, occupancy costs, cap rates, and regulatory changes relevant to clients
- Gather competitive intelligence to refine positioning and go-to-market strategy
- Liaise with teams to ensure proposals reflect latest insights and methodologies
- Track key sales metrics (pipeline velocity, win rate, average deal size, client lifecycle value
- Provide regular status updates to the CEO and adjust strategy as needed
Qualifications
- 6 years in CRE sales, advisory, consulting, or related business development roles
- Demonstrated success in closing CRE advisory or transaction-related engagements
- Strong understanding of the CRE markets
- Strong knowledge across all property types of commercial real estate and financing structures including, but not limited to, construction and bridge loan facilities

- Proven ability to develop and manage long sales cycles with C-suite stakeholders
- Data-driven mindset with ability to interpret market analytics and tailor client solutions
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Master’s degree or professional credentials (e.g., CCIM, MAI) preferred
