Duties

• Assist with food preparation, including chopping, assembling, and portioning ingredients to meet quality standards.
• Support cooking processes by following recipes and safety guidelines to ensure consistent dish quality.
• Handle food safely by practicing proper food handling techniques and adhering to food safety regulations.
• Perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies, ingredients, and equipment using safe lifting practices.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations, utensils, and equipment through regular bussing and sanitation routines.
• Support serving activities by helping with plating, garnishing, and delivering food to guests or service areas.
• Operate POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing when required in restaurant or banquet settings.
• Assist with banquet setups, event catering, and guest services to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to uphold high standards of hospitality and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is key!
• Knowledge of food service procedures, including food handling and safety protocols.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and safe lifting practices.
• Experience with food preparation, cooking, serving, and bussing in fast-paced environments.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and guests.
• Experience in banquet service or hotel culinary operations is advantageous.
• Demonstrated commitment to food safety standards and customer service excellence.
