Secondary Summer School Dates:
(1) PD Day: June 18, 2026
(14) Student Days: June 22-July 10, 2026, Monday-Friday
Holiday Observed/No Summer School: July 3, 2026
Summer School Selection Criteria:
- Valid Teaching Certificate required. (Note to teachers with certificates expiring 06/30/2026, renewed certficate must be issued prior to the beginning of summer program.)
- Commitment to working all Summer Program dates.
- Seniority within Bargaining Unit.
- 9-12 Summer School Hiring will be based on the following considerations:
a. Recent (within the last five years) teaching experience (within the regular school year) in the content area and current certification in the subject area.
b. If not enough applicants meet the above criteria then 9-12 hiring will follow district transfer language.
