Entry-Level Spray Technician (Apprentice)

Job Summary

You’ll work outdoors, learn to identify common lawn issues, operate specialized spray equipment, and directly contribute to beautiful, thriving landscapes for residential and commercial clients. Duties
- Receive full training and perform precise, safe application of lawn fertilizers, weed control products, insect treatments, and other spray solutions according to company protocols and product labels.
- Learn to identify weeds, pests, and lawn health issues during site visits and report findings to supervisors for proper treatment recommendations.
- Safely mix, load, calibrate, and apply chemical solutions using company spray rigs, hoses, and application equipment while always wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Drive company vehicles to and from job sites, following all safety protocols, traffic laws, and company procedures.
- Maintain accurate daily records of treatments applied, products used, weather conditions, and any observations for quality control and compliance.
- Clean, maintain, and store spray equipment properly to ensure it remains in safe, working condition.
- Participate in regular training sessions on new products, safety updates, equipment operation, and best practices.
- Follow all local, state, and federal regulations regarding pesticide and fertilizer application.
Requirements & Skills
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (commercial driver’s license is a plus but not required).
- Willingness and ability to learn spray application techniques, pest/weed identification, chemical safety, and equipment operation.
- Comfort working outdoors in all weather conditions and performing physical tasks such as walking job sites, lifting containers, bending, and kneeling.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to following safety guidelines and application instructions exactly.
- Basic math skills for accurate mixing and measuring of products.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- No prior spray or lawn care experience required — we provide complete paid training and support.
- Ability to wear and work comfortably in required PPE (gloves, respirator, protective clothing, etc.).
- Positive attitude and genuine interest in helping clients achieve healthy lawns and outdoor spaces.
