What are the responsibilities and job description for the System Dir, Center for Corporate Health position at Summa Health?
Provides strategic and operational leadership to the Corporate Health Service Line across the System to support programmatic initiatives that lead to improved outcomes for patients, and service line growth. Directs system-wide strategic planning, program development, fiscal management, resource allocation, operational management and alignment of the Occupational Health, Employee Health and BWC Denials Management departments at all Summa Health System Hospitals and multiple off-site locations. In partnership with the Medical Director, directs initiatives that develop strategic relationships with community leaders, businesses and the hospital system to further the systems strategic initiatives. Provides oversight of the nursing care delivery and clinic operations including developing/interpreting standards of care, policy and procedures, and performance improvement initiatives. Responsible for human resource development and maintenance of collaborative relationships with physician leaders. Responsible for personnel, materials and services necessary to provide quality, cost-effective patient care.
Formal Education Required :
a. Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Nursing, or Healthcare Administration
b. Certification in Occupational Health (COHN-S) strongly recommended
Experience & Training Required :
a. Five (5) years of management experience preferably in a multi-site occupational health practice, to include any combination of strategic planning, budgeting, payor contracting, billing and reimbursement, Human Resource planning and marketing to the employer customers.
3. Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:
a. Exhibits excellent communication skills.
b. Exhibits exceptional knowledge of the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation law and Hospital Employee Health laws and regulations
c. Knowledgeable in all employment related laws relating to occupational health care such as: ODH, ODOT, OSHA, CDC, ADA, FMLA, and relevant employment laws.
d. Excellent skills in negotiation, oral and written communication.
e. Experience in developing and operationalizing programmatic growth and strategic planning preferred
f. Ability to establish collaborative relationships with those contracted while producing favorable outcomes.
g. Membership/Certification in appropriate fields. (i.e., AAOHN, NAOHP)
h. Demonstrated ability to work within a matrixed healthcare environment.
