What are the responsibilities and job description for the Noninvasive Cardiology Technician position at Summa Health?
Performs complete process of Holter monitor, Event recorder monitor, MCOT monitoring from time of hookup, education of patient/family family/designee, downloading results of study, processing paperwork and follow-up. Completes all appropriate paperwork including computer entry.
May assists the clinical staff in confirmation of procedures and patient instruction of clinical tests. Responds to instructions given by physician or nurse.
Responsible for department process such as disinfecting processes when applicable.
Assists in coverage of the front desk greeter duties when assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Formal Education Required :
a. High School graduate or equivalent with further education and/or courses in the health care profession
2. Experience & Training Required :
a. Must have Facility approved BLS
b. Prior experience in the health field with direct patient interaction, preferred
c. Ability to learn application and removal of Holters and event recorders
d. Ability to analyze Holter monitor data
e. Ability to follow directions regarding department processes implementation

4. Level of Physical Demands: Lifting floor to standing position.
a. Frequently may lift up to 49 pounds of force occasionally, and occasionally over 50 pounds
