Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Burn Table Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate and oversee CNC burn tables used for precise cutting and shaping of metal components. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and machine operation will ensure the production of high-quality parts that meet strict specifications. Duties
- Set up and operate CNC burn tables, ensuring accurate programming and calibration for each job.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and production documents to determine cutting parameters.
- Program CNC burn tables using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and Fanuc controls to optimize efficiency.
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and adjustments on CNC equipment to maintain optimal performance.
- Measure finished parts using precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify dimensional accuracy according to GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Collaborate with fabrication teams to ensure materials are handled properly and tooling is prepared for production runs.
- Follow safety standards rigorously, including proper use of hand tools, shop math calculations, and adherence to manufacturing protocols.
Skills
- Proficiency with Fanuc control systems and CNC programming languages.
- Strong understanding of CAM programming and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software like SolidWorks for interpreting technical drawings.
- Experience operating various industrial machinery such as press brake machines, stamping presses, CNC milling machines, lathes, and welding equipment.
- Mechanical knowledge related to fabrication, machining processes, tooling setup, and troubleshooting industrial equipment.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret manufacturing specifications for quality control.
- Skilled in the use of precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and shop math calculations.
- Familiarity with safety standards in production environments and materials handling procedures.
- Warehouse experience or familiarity with packaging and assembly line operations is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical or technical issues efficiently.
